Midland Country Club, 1120 W. St. Andrews
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. ~ Lunch at 12:00 p.m.
We have a dynamic program that you will not want to miss. First, we will view a video of Aliyah Khan Ph. D. the first recipient of our AAUW Midland Branch National Fund #4277. Ms. Kahn, an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, has graciously made this video to tell us how being the recipient of the AAUW American Fellowship Grant is benefiting her.
Our keynote speaker is a local woman, Carolyn Krebs, who retired from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. She was Associate Director for Engineering Support in the Earth and Space Science Directorate and Chief of the Instrument Systems and Technology Division in the Engineering Directorate. Her talk is entitled, “A Journey – The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly.”
Our luncheon will feature Chicken and Mushroom Crepes, freshly baked breads, coffee and tea. To further tempt your palate, a complimentary dessert will be Strawberry Shortcake. Guests are welcomed.
Reservations are required by May 14. The cost of the luncheon is $20. Make checks payable to AAUW Midland Branch and send to P.O. Box 30, Midland, MI 48640-0030. Please write to firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
